Edmonton Newborn Photographer {Baby Isabella} Sneak Peek

I can't believe it is already August 3rd and summer is half over! Don't forget that means fall is just around the corner, book your fall session soon before it's too late. My plan this summer was to take it easy and soak up as much sun as possible, but it's been rainy a lot this summer and I have shot more sessions this summer than I ever have before, so many beautiful families and summer babies. In fact, I did my 100th newborn session not too long ago, which had me look back at one of my first sessions - I think it's safe to say that I have grown a lot since then.

2015 vs. 2018

I am so lucky to do what I do, and I can thank my growth to so many other amazing photographers that I have inspired me or who I have had the pleasure to learn from, everything from wrapping and posing techniques, editing and something I learned just recently that has really let me use my creativity in my newborn edits -  creating composite images like the one on the right above that really lets me add more variety and personalization to client's galleries - special thank you to Luisa Dunn. Of course I also have to thank all of the amazing families who have given me the opportunity to capture their growing families, thank you all for your amazing support.

I met this beautiful family just over a year ago when they had me photograph their first baby, little Mathias, and luckily they had me photograph his first year. I was thrilled when they revealed they were expecting baby number two at Mathias's one year session, and even more excited when later that spring they told me they were going to have a baby girl. Sweet little Isabella arrived with the fullest head of hair and was just a joy to photograph just like her brother, so content and full of sweet baby smiles. I am so grateful for the opportunity to capture her first year, I can't wait to design her one year album full of sweet moments and memories for this family. S & F, thank you so much for inviting into your home to capture this special time for your family. Wishing you all the best as a family of four - see you soon! Enjoy. {K}
