Q. I’ve done my research but how do i decide which photographer is best for me?
A. Are they local? (My studio is located in Devon, AB 20 minutes southwest of Edmonton and I serve the greater Edmonton area. I am willing to travel within Alberta and BC for additional fee), have you checked out their reviews or received a referral - what are their past clients saying about them? (I am laid back, patient and a baby whisperer according to mine) What does their portfolio look like, is this the style you are going for? (I love color and shadows and contrast, my style is moody). How many years have they been in business? (I’ve been in business for 9 years and a photographer for 13 years) Are they licensed and insured? (yes and yes) What kind of photography sessions do the offer? Maternity, Family, Newborn, Baby, Cake Smash and Grad Photography Sessions are available.
Q. ARE IMAGES INCLUDED IN THE SESSION FEE?
A. No.all images are purchased separately at your ordering appointment. Only buy the photos you love and build a custom package that suits your family’s needs or choose from my curated collections of digitals and products.. Do we get digitals?
A: Yes! Not only does all art work chosen includes the complimentary corresponding digital, you will also have the option to purchase digital only collections.
Q. Who chooses the images I get to keep?
A: YOU CHOOSE! I will design your session around your vision, I will put together a gallery of all the best images from your session, from each pose, and you get to hand-select the images that will make up your final gallery. Want the full gallery? That is an option available to you.
Q. What is the difference between an “All Inclusive” and “custom” session?
A; With a custom session on location or at my studio, your set ups and poses are unlimited. We will have an In-depth discussion to plan each detail of your session and get an idea of the types of images you love, and design your session around your unique vision. This is all included in your session fee! You will also get to SEE your images BEFORE investing in them.
With an all-inclusive session, you will usually commit to, and pay a high fee for a set number of images before you’ve even met your photographer or had your session. You will have no input on the types of images taken or chosen for your gallery that in reality will only be made up of generally only a few poses.
There is tremendous value in having the choice in how many photos you choose!
Q. When should i book my newborn session?
A. I recommend booking when you are in your second trimester. My calendar books up quickly, my past clients usually book me at 12 weeks, so don’t wait! Your exciting news is always confidential. Once you book I will add your due date to my calendar. Booking last minute? Sometimes all the babies I have booked for a month arrive at the same time, so I usually have some last minute openings, so don’t hesitate to reach out or call 587-785-4948.
Q. How do we pick a date when we don’t know what day baby will Arrive?
I will reserve your Due Date in my calendar and then schedule your actual session date once baby arrives. Just let me know baby is here within 48 hours of their arrival so they er can book a session date during optimal time 5–14 days old.
Q. When should I book my maternity session?
A. I recommend booking your maternity session in your first trimester. We will decide on a session date for when you are 34-36 weeks pregnant. This allows for time to plan for hair and makeup and also decide on which maternity gowns you’d like to wear from my maternity wardrobe. I offer dress consultations a couple days before your session so that you can get comfortable in them and choose the appropriate undergarments. This is also the perfect time to book your newborn session as well; Save $100 when you book newborn and maternity session together.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. I accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple pay, E-transfer, cash and cheque. Session fee is due at time of booking and photos purchased must be paid in full at ordering appointment.
Q. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! When you book far enough in advance, session fee can be paid in monthly or weekly e-transfer installments as long as full session fee is paid by month of session. Your image order can also be paid for in e-transfer or credit card installments with full balance due once order is delivered.
Q. is tax included?
A. No. I pay taxes so this is why I need to charge it.
