Welcome! I’m Kelsie, a photographer in Edmonton specializing in newborn, maternity, and baby photography. As a mom of three daughters, I know how quickly the newborn days pass, and I'm passionate about capturing those fleeting, magical moments for your family.
Fresh 48 sessions are offered as a special add-on for newborn bookings or can be booked on their own. These sessions take place when your baby is just 12-48 hours old at your baby's place of birth. I’d love to capture these intimate moments for your family, including your baby’s first meeting with siblings and grandparents, those precious snuggles with mom and dad, and your very first family photo together.
As a mother, I know how fast those first hours slip by, and having those memories documented brings me right back to that overwhelming, magical time.

Fresh 48 Session booking fee is $350 and collections start at $400. The average investment is a 20 image heirloom album with digital files for $850.
Or add a Fresh 48 to any newborn session booking for only $150 plus GST including 8 high resolution images edited in color and black and white.

Booking Fee Includes:
- Initial consultation to dream up your session
- Comprehensive session prep guide
- 30-60 minute session at baby's place of birth.
- Newborn sized outfits and heirloom blankets for baby and simple gowns and robes for mom so you don't need to find an outfit for you or baby
- 8 High resolution images delivered same day.
- An online customer portal where you can see all prep guides, galleries and documents
I recommend booking your sessions in your fresh 48 session no later than yout second trimester. Your news will remain confidential, and once you’ve confirmed your due date, I’ll add it to my calendar to ensure availability.
To ensure I will can arrive at hospital or birth place of baby in time, I will have you share my cell number with your partner so that they can notify me of baby's arrival at any hour. For babies born in the evening or middle of the night I usually book for 9 or 10 am the following day. Early morning arrivals are usually booked for the afternoon.

When Should I book fresh 48 Session?
In the event I am not able access the hospital or birth place, the best alternative is a Welcome Home Baby session. During the pandemic in 2021 I was able to offer these sessions to families who had booked a Fresh 48 session and they ended up being just as magical as a traditional Fresh 48.
I arrive at your home ahead of you, usually with support person there to greet me. I capture the moment you walk in your home for the first time with your new baby. The excitement and pure joy of older siblings or family greeting you is beautiful and I can still capture that first family photos and baby's first portraits.

Yes, I do offer a Fresh 48 & newborn bundle! When you book a newborn session or maternity & newborn bundle, you can add a Fresh 48 session for a special price of $150 plus GST.
I also offer a "Growth With Me" package, starting at $1850 plus GST. This includes 2 sessions, along with 24 or more digital files, and a beautiful suede album and box featuring your digital photos from 2 or 3 sessions. Sessions that can be included in this package are Maternity & Newborn, Fresh 48 & Newborn, or Maternity, Newborn & Cake Smash. Contact me for more details!

When Should I book fresh 48 Session?
Fresh 48 photography is a specialized art that requires specific training and years of experience, which is why it tends to be on the higher end. Don’t let the cost hold you back from capturing these precious moments!
When you book in advance, the session fee can be paid in flexible monthly or weekly e-transfer installments, as long as it's paid in full by the session date. Image orders can also be paid in installments to suit your needs.
Payments can be made via EMT, credit card, or cash—whichever works best for you!

I’ve been specializing in newborn photography for over 11 years, with training in the USA and Europe from top photographers. I've offered Fresh 48 sessions since the beginning and was the exclusive Edmonton Fresh 48 photographer in 2016-2019.
