Carefully researching a newborn and maternity photographer is essential to ensure these precious moments are captured beautifully and timelessly.
Q. I’ve done my research but how do I decide which photographer is best for me?
A. Are they local? My studio is conveniently located in West Edmonton near West Edmonton Mall , have you checked out their reviews or received a referral - what are their past clients saying about them? (I am friendly, patient and a baby whisperer according to mine) What does their portfolio look like, is this the style you are going for? (I love color and shadows and contrast, my style is moody). How many years have they been in business? (I’ve been in business for 10 years and a photographer for 13 years) Are they licensed and insured? (yes and yes) What kind of photography sessions do the offer? Fresh 48, Maternity, Newborn, Baby, Cake Smash and Grad Photography Sessions are available.
Q. Are images included in the session fee?
A. No, but your session fee is stocked with value including: complimentary hair & make up services ($150 value) , access to extensive client wardrobe, comprehensive session prep guide, studio welcome package, in home styling consult, plus my time, talent and over 10 years experience. Images are purchased separately from the session fee, allowing you to select only the images you fall in love with . You can order during your private image reveal and ordering appointment.
Do I get the digitals?
A: Yes! All prints and collections include the corresponding digitals edited in color and black and white. Digital only collections are also available. Digital only collections are also available.
Q. Who choose the images I get to keep?
A: YOU CHOOSE! I will design your session around your vision, I will put together a gallery of all the best images from your session, from each pose, and you get to hand-select the images that will make up your final gallery. Want the full gallery? That is an option available to you.
Q. When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking in your second trimester as my schedule fills quickly, often with clients booking at 12 weeks. Your news will remain confidential, and I’ll add your due date to my calendar. For last-minute bookings, I may have openings due to varying baby arrival times, so feel free to reach out at 587-785-4948.
Q: How do we pick a date when we don’t know when the baby will arrive?
A: I’ll reserve your due date and schedule the actual session once the baby arrives. Just inform me within 48 hours of birth so we can set a session date for when the baby is 5-14 days old.
Q: When should I book my maternity session?
A: Book your maternity session during your first trimester, and we’ll schedule it for when you’re 34-36 weeks pregnant. This timing allows for planning hair, makeup, and gown selections. You can also book your newborn session at the same time to save $50 off session fee.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. I accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple pay, E-transfer, cash and cheque. I am also happy to offer flexible payment plans.
Q. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! When you book far enough in advance, session fee can be paid in monthly or weekly e-transfer installments as long as full session fee is paid by session date. Image order may also be paid in flexible installments.
Q. Do prices include tax?
A. No. I pay taxes so this is why I need to charge it.

How it all Comes Together
Before your Session
I offer a complimentary consultation phone call where I can get to know your family a bit better and dream up the perfect session for you. From styling and wardrobe to reviewing pricing details and product options, we will discuss all you can expect from the session. If you decide to book I will complete the booking on this call.
The Day of your Session
When you arrive at the west Edmonton studio you will find convenient parking only 10 feet from entrance. All studio sessions include optional professional hair & make up services and access to client wardrobe, so I start with making sure everyone looks and feels their best. I will then go over the session flow. Sessions include all family members present, including siblings and grandparents. Sit and relax in my comfortable seating and entertainment area, while I am safely pose your baby. Then through complete posing direction and multiple backdrop setups, I will create magical images for your family.
After Session
On the same day as your session or up to one week later, you will return to the studio or meet me on zoom for an image reveal & ordering appointment. You will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of collections I offer and make any purchasing decisions at this time. Together we will create the perfect collection customized around how you'd like to preserve your lifetime memories.
