Edmonton Fresh 48 & Newborn Photographer {Baby Brynn}
It’s officially spring break and after a fun weekend with family, including checking out the new Royal Alberta Museum (highly recommend!), I’m ready to enjoy having my kids home this week. We will do some baking, check out the new children’s area at the Telus World of Science, maybe go swimming, and hopefully get outside a lot, the perfect staycation. Hope you and your family have some fun planned for the week if it’s spring break for your kids too. With spring officially here and summer just around the corner now is absolutely the best time to book your 2019 family session. Weekend dates are all ready booking up into the fall. Some pointers again for picking the right season for photos – late May means cherry blossoms, late July canola fields (and bugs!), fall officially starts in September but colors are usually best between mid September and early October, and winter makes the perfect backdrop for holiday photos or extended family sessions when everyone is together for the holidays. I am so lucky to have the absolute honour of capturing this beautiful family for their baby girl’s first year. I got to meet Brynn when she was just hours old for a Fresh 48 session. Fresh 48 sessions are done in hospital when baby is 12-48 hours old, usually timed for when older siblings come to meet their new baby or brother or sister for the first time. The pure love and joy that surrounds a new baby those first days is full of precious moments that are so fleeting and I am so lucky to freeze time for these families. Fresh 48 sessions can be booked alone or at a discounted rate when booked with a newborn session or first year packages.
A couple short weeks later I photographed sweet little Brynn again for her newborn photos. It is always fun to see how families are adjusting to having a new little one and I am always amazed how much babies can change in as little as 10 days. Miss Brynn was so alert and spent a lot of time awake before melting into her dad’s arms and drifting off to sleep for her posed portraits. Big brother Chase was full of love for his new sister and even though he was a typical busy toddler, we got some very adorable snuggly shots of him and his sister. I cannot wait to see this family again later this year when Brynn is ready for her sitter session, the time will fly by I am sure. Meghan and Garret, thank you so much for having me capture this special time for your family. I am looking forward to getting to know you more this year and wish you all the very best as a family of four. Love {K}.
