Cascade Montana

Edmonton / Cascade, Montana Senior Grad Photographer {Katie}

This summer is sure flying by, can’t believe there is just over a month left before my girls head back to school. We are lucky if we get 18 summers with our kids, and that time is more than half up with my oldest daughter who turns 10 this summer, so bittersweet. We finally got a stretch of nice weather this week, so this blog post and some editing got set aside so I could enjoy some pool time which has been very rare this rainy summer; thanks to all of my amazing families that are waiting on galleries, I hope you are out enjoying this weather too! If you were still looking to book a summer family session, or even an extended family session as this is usually the time of year families get together most, I still have some August openings. I would love to meet your family out at the lake, or in your family’s beautiful canola fields if you are lucky enough to have that view. Fall dates are really starting to book up, and due to overwhelming demand I have added two more September family session dates. Book your 2019 session now!

Earlier this month I was so lucky to visit family in beautiful Cascade Montana for July 4th! We had an absolutely incredible time, hiking Slucie Boxes State Park, boating Holter Lake and floating the Missouri River; and of course blowing up tons of fireworks for July 4th! On my last night there I was so lucky to have the opportunity to photograph my beautiful cousin Katie, who will be a senior this year and will be graduating next spring. I photographed her sister Kelli a couple years ago and loved having another different but amazing backdrop to shoot against. Montana is really a breathtaking place, you could literally photograph someone in a ditch and it would be a nice shot. For Katie’s session we started at the small town arena then hit up some old country roads with the sunset and mountains as our backdrop. We finished with photos with her horse back home, what a dream session. Katie, thank you so much for choosing me to capture these photos for you. You are a smart, kind, sweet and gorgeous girl. Wishing you all the best on your graduating year, can’t wait to see what the future brings for you, you go girl! Chase those dreams! {K}

Edmonton Graduation Photographer {Kelli} Sneak Peek

I am so lucky to have family that live in the beautiful state of Montana, and even better family that asked me to photograph their gorgeous daughter for her senior year. Earlier this month we travelled down to Montana with our three girls and spent the most fun filled days over the July 4th holiday. It was hotter than we could have imagined, about 38 degrees the whole time we were there, but nothing some visiting in the shade or jumping in a pool couldn't fix. On our last night I had the pleasure of photographing my husband's aunt's oldest daughter, who will be graduating high school this year; hard to believe she was the same age as my little Taylor the first time I met her! We took photos on a gorgeous ranch that she works at part time, then back near her home with her beloved horse. I was seriously in photography heaven! Amazing light, stunning girl, a barn and a horse, I felt like I was shooting a country star, it was awesome. Ober family, it was such an honour to capture this special time for you. Kelli you are a smart, kind and beautiful young woman and I am excited to see what the future brings for you, only good things I am sure. Auntie, I will come back anytime to capture your wonderful family again. Enjoy. {K}
