Edmonton Family Photographer {S Family} Sneak Peek

Kelsie Kelly Photographer is growing. I have been so lucky to be a newborn and family photographer for the past three years; but while I have been so busy from the beginning, I have not built a business that can remain sustainable for years to come. Deciding to start a photography business came from my love of both children and photography, but was also the best way for me to provide for my family while still being present for my three girls. In the past year, sadly, I have not been there for my girls as much as I want, all while not really providing an income that can support my family. So I came a turning point and decided now was the best time to raise my prices. I am still and will always be an all inclusive photographer, I love giving you all of the special memories I create for your family, but it will be at a price that will keep my business sustainable long term. You can see my new pricing here.

I have some other exciting news to announce as well. In the spring of 2018 I will be opening my new home based studio where I will be offering mini posed newborn sessions, as well as milestone sessions up to age one. My husband is busy drawing up plans for all of my prop storage and backdrops;  I can't wait to share the progress with you in the new year. A new website is coming in January and galleries are once again going to be delivered on a USB. I am also so excited to be offering professional quality prints and custom albums that will be available to order directly from your online gallery. I think 2018 will be my best year yet!

A big reason that my business has been so busy the past three years is because of amazing families like this one that come back to me year after year and pass my name of to all of their friends. I photographed Najla and Geoff for maternity photos in this same spot the very first time I did fall mini sessions a few years ago. Now they are proud parents to busy little Aiden, who definitely doesn't want to sit still for photos now, but who is just the most adorable little guy ever. Najla and Geoff, thank you so much for choosing me as your family photographer, it has been so wonderful getting to know you. Wishing you all the best. Enjoy. {K}

Edmonton Family Photographer {Alexa & Kory} Sneak Peek

As summer vacation approaches my blog will become a little quieter as I fill my days with trips to the spray park and weekends with camping trips with my three girls. I am lucky with the job I do that I can choose when I want to spend quality time with my girls and summertime, when my oldest is home from the school, is when I choose to slow down a bit.

Alexa is my dear cousin, so I was so happy when she asked me to take photos of her with her boyfriend Kory and their beautiful (even if a bit feisty) dog Theo - on her birthday of all days! I don't get the pleasure of photographing couples a lot, likely because I am not a wedding photographer, but couples are so much fun to capture and I really enjoy these sessions when I get to do them.

Wagner Natural area is one of my favourite spots, but this shoot was different than any I have done there before. To say there were a lot of mosquitos would be a complete understatement - we were completely swarmed. And after a few days of rain, the paths were the wettest and muddiest I have ever seen. Luckily Alexa and Kory were good sports and we made the most of our otherwise beautiful surroundings. Thank you both so much for the fun session. Enjoy.        {K}
