Love of Adoption

Edmonton & Area Newborn Photographer {Baby Logan} Sneak Peek

This summer is quickly coming to an end. It'y my oldest daughter's 9th birthday tomorrow and the rest of the year seems to fly by after that, before we know it it's my birthday, Halloween, my middle ones's birthday in November and then boom it's Christmas! It is so amazing how fast time and the years fly by when you become a parent. I remember sitting in my daughter's finished nursery before she arrived thinking is this baby ever going to get here and here I am nine years later and it went by sooooo fast, too fast! This is why newborn and family photography is so important and why I feel so lucky every time I capture such fleeting moments and memories for families, your babies are only babies for so long and you only get so many years with your children. If not for yourself, give your kids the gift of images of them wrapped in their mother's arms or being tickled by their dad, my girls love looking back at our old family photos and remembering how little they used to be and how young their mom and dad used to look, how life was when their was just one, two then three of them. If you are looking to book a 2018 session my newborn and family openings are booking up fast now. Please contact me to book your 2018 or 2019 newborn session. July was a full month of sweet squishy little newborns, including two little guy's named Logan. The second Logan I was lucky to meet was the 100th newborn I've photographed, and what  perfect timing as this little guy is very special. This beautiful family has been wanting to start a family for many years and after 5 years on a waiting list they finally received the most amazing news, a baby boy would be theirs through the love of adoption. I couldn't imagine the joy and happiness they must feel and did it ever show when I finally got to meet them, you couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces, just pure love and joy.  This tiny 5lb. little guy had to travel a few hours home and I couldn't stop imagining what it would be like to bring a baby home after waiting so long, the anticipation to finally get home and start your life together! For his newborn session he was so wide eyed and smiley to start then a sleeping little angel for me once I posed him, the kind of session newborn photographers dream of! Michelle and Brendan, it was such a pleasure meeting you both and capturing this very special time for your family. Wishing you the very best as a family of three. Enjoy. {K}
