Edmonton Graduation Photographer {Ashley} Sneak Peek

I was so honoured when a dear long time friend of my mom's asked me if I would like to photographer her daughter on her graduation day. My mom and Ingrid have been friends since childhood and it's amazing the different paths our lives take as we get older. I am the oldest daughter in my family and I graduated almost 15 years ago..yes I am old!  My mom's best friend's oldest daughter is just graduating this year. Amazing how even though lives can be so different, friendships can last through it all. Ashley, congratulations on achieving this milestone, you looked absolutely stunning on your graduation day. Happy Birthday Carter! Carter turns one today! This cute little guy has been walking for a couple months now, so he definitely kept me on my toes for his cake smash session last week. Here is a little sneak peek of the fun we had! A quick little cake smash, a bubble bath full of smiles then some cuddles with mom and big brother. Enjoy. {K}

Edmonton Milestone Photographer {Alexis Turning One} Sneak Peek

It seems like yesterday that I was meeting Jill and Steve for the first time for their maternity session as they awaited the arrival of their sweet baby girl. Then, in early May 2016, I got to meet sweet Alexis and have since had the pleasure of photographing and getting to know this wonderful little family over this past year. I have gotten to know all the corners of their home and admire Alexis's adorable Minnie Mouse nursery, but this was my last session in their home as they will be moving out just before Alexis's birthday. Leaving a home that you grew in as a family is always bittersweet, so I made sure we got some photos on the front porch and in the nursery before we set up for the cake smash. Jill did an amazing job getting they cutest Minnie Mouse props and outfits, and the cake was just adorable! Little Alexis was such a little lady though, there wasn't much smashing, just little dainty bites, and lots of smiles.

Edmonton Milestone Photographer {Lenna Turning One} Sneak Peek

This is the third time that I have been lucky enough to capture this beautiful family. Little Lenna will be one at the end of April, so we had a laid back session in her home that ended with a fun cupcake smash. I have had the chance to do quite a few cake smashes, but I would say only about half of the one year old's I photograph will actually dig into their cakes! Then there are little ones like Lenna, who once they get that first taste of sugar they can't get enough! Destined to have a sweet tooth I think, rings true for my girls anyways! We finished the session with a very bubbly bubble bath, always the cutest way to end a cake smash, even with a leaky tub!

Edmonton Milestone Photographer {Alena 3 months} Sneak Peek

I am so lucky to have the opportunity to capture the first year of so many of my newborn families this year. 3 months goes by so fast, the first year goes by so fast. Each time I get to see these little ones, it just amazes me how much they've changed, and how comfortable, laid back and awake parents become compared to the first time I meet them in those first early tiring days!  The truth is the time doesn't fly by nearly as fast as it does with my own kids! Blogging a little later tonight, but I would never miss out on Friday movie night and snuggles with my girls who I know will be out with friends instead of cuddling their mama on a Friday night before I know it. 

Little Alena was full of smiles and giggles the whole time I spent with her, such a happy little girl. Brittany and Aaron, it has been wonderful getting to know you this year, looking forward to seeing more of little Alena this spring and before we know it next fall for her first birthday.
