Edmonton Family Photographer {Mozeson Family} Sneak Peek

I have been so lucky to have my name passed on over and over again to the most beautiful families. I proudly reached my referral goal for the year this month thanks to so many amazing families that refer me to their friends and family. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, you are all the reason I get to do this job I am so passionate about.

One word - curls. I mean look at this little guy's big brown eyes and head full of curls, an absolute dream to capture. Little Ben was such a sweet little subject, and so obviously adored by his parents. I was so happy the rain decided to stay away this day and that we had such gorgeous light to work with. We ended our session with a belated birthday cupcake smash - so sweet! I officially love outdoor cake smashes. Jamie and Jonah, thank you so much for having me photograph you and your sweet boy. Enjoy. {K}

Edmonton Family Photographer {Alexa & Kory} Sneak Peek

As summer vacation approaches my blog will become a little quieter as I fill my days with trips to the spray park and weekends with camping trips with my three girls. I am lucky with the job I do that I can choose when I want to spend quality time with my girls and summertime, when my oldest is home from the school, is when I choose to slow down a bit.

Alexa is my dear cousin, so I was so happy when she asked me to take photos of her with her boyfriend Kory and their beautiful (even if a bit feisty) dog Theo - on her birthday of all days! I don't get the pleasure of photographing couples a lot, likely because I am not a wedding photographer, but couples are so much fun to capture and I really enjoy these sessions when I get to do them.

Wagner Natural area is one of my favourite spots, but this shoot was different than any I have done there before. To say there were a lot of mosquitos would be a complete understatement - we were completely swarmed. And after a few days of rain, the paths were the wettest and muddiest I have ever seen. Luckily Alexa and Kory were good sports and we made the most of our otherwise beautiful surroundings. Thank you both so much for the fun session. Enjoy.        {K}

Edmonton Maternity Photographer {Jasmine} Sneak Peek

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day. I made a huge breakfast for my wonderful husband then left him the mess and our three girls so I could rush to a session; it was the thought that counted right? In all honesty, my husband is an amazing dad and he is a big reason why I get to do what I do; I love and appreciate him so much.

 The weather has posed some rescheduling issues for me as of late, but a couple weeks ago we had a gorgeous string of weather when I met this wonderful family for a sunny morning maternity session. Baby number three is on the way this summer, and Jasmine was absolutely glowing in her final weeks of pregnancy. Big brother Oliver and soon to be big sister Mille were the sweetest little subjects, I just melted when they gave each other a little hug without even being prompted. I can't wait to see if they have a little brother or a little sister joining them. Wishing you all the very best as you prepare for your newest little one to join the word. Enjoy. {K}

Edmonton Lifestyle Family Photographer {Longman Family} Sneak Peek

I absolutely love to photographer families in their homes. I do all of my newborn sessions in home, but only get to do a handful of in home family sessions; something that I hope changes as lifestyle photography gains more popularity. An in home lifestyle session involves just hanging out in the rooms you usually do, eating, cooking, rolling around on the bed, or getting ready for a nap; beautiful authentic moments that really tell your family's story.

The Longman family invited me into their home a couple weeks ago, and I had so much fun watching them with their sweet baby boy Evan, who was so full of smiles, but was ready for a nap by the end of our session. Their home was so gorgeous that I think I made sure to shoot in almost every room! I have never seen so many photos on the wall, amazing gallery walls in every room- so inspiring! Thank you both for inviting me into your home to capture your beautiful everyday. Enjoy. {K}

Edmonton Newborn Photographer {Baby William} Sneak Peek

Little William's mom contacted me after his arrival, and I was so happy that I was able to fit them in last minute. Being 3.5 weeks old, I was worried that I wouldn't have wraps big enough, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how teeny tiny and curled up he still was and how much he loved being swaddled. It was actually probably one of my easiest newborn sessions yet, which is why I didn't mind photographing him with his jets jersey, even though I am the biggest Oilers fan lol! A & D, thank you so much for inviting me into your home to capture your sweet baby boy. Wishing you all the best as a family of 3. Enjoy. {K}
