Edmonton & Area Maternity Photographer {Brittany} Sneak Peek

Yes! Spring is finally here and I think I can finally put my winter coat and boots away (fingers crossed!). Spring means booking season for me and my summer and fall 2018 are booking up incredibly fast - you all seriously blow me away with your support - thank you. If you are expecting this year, looking to have family or extended family photos this summer or fall, now is definitely the time to book. If mini sessions are your jam, I have a few more cherry blossom  spring mini session openings;  to see openings or book your spot visit the link just below. I am so looking forward to getting back outside for more sessions, I seriously live for golden light and now is the perfect time of year to enjoy it before the mosquitos arrive and the nights get too late for little ones.

I met this gorgeous family a couple weeks ago now, hard to believe there was still snow on the ground. Brittany was absolutely glowing and had just the most perfect little baby bump I think I've ever seen, and big brother to be was such a little charmer, I can't wait to photograph him with his baby brother or sister. The early spring sunset gave us the most beautiful light and made up for the bare trees and the snow covered ground in one of my favorite spots for sessions, Devon Voyageur Park. Brittany and Adam, thank you so much for having me capture this special time for you. Looking forward to the arrival of your little one later this spring. Wishing you all the best. Enjoy. {K}

Edmonton Maternity Photographer {Jill Maternity} Sneak Peek

Pretty soon fall will be over and so will my busiest time for family photos. Starting in November though I get back to my regular newborn session ability which is 4-5 openings a month. I currently have one opening left in November, 2 in December and 3 in January. If you are looking to book a maternity, newborn or fresh 48 session now is the time to book as bookings made after October 31, 2017 for 2018 due dates will be subject to my price increases.

Winter maternity sessions can be done outdoors in our snowy wonderland, or in the comfort of your home. Newborn sessions as always are done in the comfort of your home and include lifestyle and posed images of baby - I bring the props. My newborn sessions are fun and laid back, not stressful like they can be when you have to pack everyone up and head to a studio - stay warm this winter and let me come to you.

I met this beautiful family earlier last week on a just gorgeous fall night; they will soon by welcoming a baby girl, a sister for Kate and brothers Ben and Will. Having grown up in a big family, and having three kids of my own, I just love capturing families with three or more kids. I can't wait to see all of the amazing love that will surround the new baby when I do her newborn session in November. Jill & Boris, wishing you all the best, thank you so much for choosing me to capture this special time for your family. Enjoy. {K}

Edmonton Maternity Photographer {Jasmine} Sneak Peek

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day. I made a huge breakfast for my wonderful husband then left him the mess and our three girls so I could rush to a session; it was the thought that counted right? In all honesty, my husband is an amazing dad and he is a big reason why I get to do what I do; I love and appreciate him so much.

 The weather has posed some rescheduling issues for me as of late, but a couple weeks ago we had a gorgeous string of weather when I met this wonderful family for a sunny morning maternity session. Baby number three is on the way this summer, and Jasmine was absolutely glowing in her final weeks of pregnancy. Big brother Oliver and soon to be big sister Mille were the sweetest little subjects, I just melted when they gave each other a little hug without even being prompted. I can't wait to see if they have a little brother or a little sister joining them. Wishing you all the very best as you prepare for your newest little one to join the word. Enjoy. {K}

Edmonton Maternity Photographer {Melanie Maternity} Sneak Peek

This post is way overdue, but what would the holiday season be without a bout of the flu! Finally feeling back to normal and ready to get all caught up just in time to spend some time with my little ones and family over Christas. Since Melanie's session fell during a long December cold snap that saw days and days below -20, we were forced inside for most of her session. Luckily, the Mosaic Centre in south Edmonton is full of gorgeous light and beautiful architecture, the perfect spot for this session. We had limited space to work with as there was a little event going on all around us, but this sweet family was getting awww's from everyone once they snuggled up on the stairs together, and little Averly did great in between shots waving hello to everyone as little ones that age love to do. After we got some shots inside, Melanie bravely let me put her in a long red dress and pose her outside in the freezing cold - we were outside for mere minutes, but the results were amazing, Melanie looked absolutely stunning against the winter backdrop. Hartwig family thank you for the wonderful session. Wishing you a very merry Christmas and all the best in the coming weeks, I can't wait to meet your little one in the new year. Enjoy. {K}
